Our team at IR Energy, an Octopus Trusted Partner based in South Wales, recently completed a full residential renewable energy installation combining an Octopus Cosy heat pump, solar PV, EV and battery storage.

Octopus Cosy Heat Pump – 9kW
A low-carbon, high-efficiency heating system that keeps the home warm and cosy while taking advantage of cheaper electricity periods. Designed to work with Octopus Cosy, Agile and Intelligent tariffs, it’s a smarter way to heat the home sustainably.
Solar PV System – 3.6kW with Hybrid Inverter
With 11 solar panels facing south-east and south-west, the system captures sunlight throughout the day, generating clean electricity to power the home and support heating needs.
Battery Storage – 14.7kWh Hybrid
Storing surplus solar energy or low-cost overnight electricity for use when it’s needed most, maximising savings while keeping the home powered during peak times at just 7p per kWh overnight.
EV Charger – ICS 7kW
Smart, efficient EV charging at home, overnight or during low-cost electricity periods, fully integrated with the energy system.
Air Conditioning – 2.5kW Samsung Units
Consistent, energy-efficient cooling that keeps the home comfortable year-round.
